Tigers close in on Liverpool ace

Hull boss Phil Brown has admitted he wants to sign Liverpool winger Jermaine Pennant but only at 'the right price'.

The Reds are looking to offload the former Birmingham man in the transfer window and he has been linked with a whole host of clubs including Tottenham, Blackburn, Stoke and even Real Madrid.

A proposed £3million move to the Bernabeu has not materialised and now Hull have declared an interest in Pennant, who is clearly not in Rafa Bneitez's future plans at Anfield.

Tigers boss Brown said: "I would be very interested in Jermaine Pennant if he was available at the right price. We will be making enquiries."
