Trio keen on striker

Liverpool, 09:56, January 27, 2009 ,

Robbie Keane is being linked with a move to either Manchester City or back to Tottenham but he will not be moving to Everton.

Keane's future remains in doubt at Anfield, where he has failed to live up to his £20m price tag following his move from Spurs in August and he was left out of the squad that faced Everton on Sunday in the FA Cup.
Liverpool are back in action away at Wigan on Wednesday and, if he is not involved in that squad, that would appear to indicate he has little future at Anfield.
Manchester City and Spurs are both interested in the player but Liverpool will not sanction a move to Everton for Keane and it is unlikely that they could either afford to buy him or pay his current wages.
Spurs boss Harry Redknapp would be happy to take him back to White Hart Lane, he said: "I wouldn't sit here and say I wouldn't like to have Robbie Keane at my football club, I'd be a liar, but he belongs to Liverpool so it is not an option unfortunately.
"As a player and a person I have a lot of time for Robbie Keane. I think he's fantastic."
