Villa striker linked

Liverpool are being linked with a summer swoop for Aston Villa's England striker Darren Bent who is closing in on fitness.

Bent has been out since February since picking up an ankle ligament injury but he is closing in on fitness and may yet make the Euro 2012 finals.
Reports of a fall out between the former Sunderland man and Villa boss Alex McLeish has lead to speculation linking him with a move away from Villa Park and the Reds are said to be interested.
Liverpool have suffered in front of goal this season and Kenny Dalglish will be looking to add to his forward options over the summer and Bent may turn out to be the man he moves for.
