Winger deal rush on
Liverpool's deadline day move for Yevhen Konoplyanka is likely to go to the wire, even though the player is keen to join the Reds.
The Ukraine international is known to be top of Brendan Rodgers' wanted list, but the Reds face a race against time to beat the 11pm deadline and tie up the deal.
Managing director Ian Ayre is believed to have been in Ukraine this week to try and finalise the move, but the player's agent has been keen to point out there are other interested parties.
But the 24-year-old Konoplyanka has indicated that he would be keen on a switch to Anfield, saying: "I'm so excited about it and soon you will know where I will play."
As we revealed here on Tuesday, the deal for the winger, who has won 35 caps for his country, is likely to cost Liverpool in the region of £15million.
