Winger wanted by host of parties

Liverpool, 08:27, January 6, 2009 ,

AC Milan have joined the queue of clubs taking an interest in winger Jermaine Pennant but are likely to miss out on Danniel Agger.

Pennant is out of contract at the end of the season and Reds boss Rafa Benitez would love to get some money for him now rather than see him walk away for nothing in the summer. Only Real Madrid have made an offer, thought to be worth £3m, but the deal fell through over personal terms.
Pennant, also a target for Wigan Athletic, Blackburn Rovers, Hull City and Tottenham Hotspur, is now likely to stay at Anfield and leave for nothing in the summer and Milan have approached him about a pre-contract agreement.
Meanwhile Milan will fail with any move for Agger as Benitez will block any moves for any of his first team squad as he closes in on Premier League and Cup glory.
