African ace says 'no' to City

Manchester City, 11:37, April 23, 2009

Reports claim Barcelona striker Samuel Eto'o is the latest big name player to reject the chance to join Manchester City.

It has been suggested that City had made a £35million bid to sign the Cameroon striker, who has helped fire Barca to the top of La Liga and to the semi-finals of the Champions League this season.
Eto'o did look to be heading out of the exit door at the Nou Camp last summer, when he fell out with coach Pep Guardiola and was told he was surplus to requirements.
But the 28-year-old has battled his way back into the Barca first team and re-established himself as a regular, insisting he wants to stay with the Catalan giants.
Along with City, who seem desperate to get in another world renowned superstar this summer, Inter Milan are also said to have been tracking the striker.
