Sergio Aguero says he has no plans to quit Manchester City any time soon and that his first year in England couldn't have gone better.

City's decision to shell out £38m last summer has certainly proven money well spent as his return of 29 goals and a nomination for the PFA Player of the Year award would suggest. The striker himself never expected to score so many in his first season in the wake of his move from Atletico Madrid and now he is looking to cap it all off by leading his team to the Premier League title. Real Madrid continued to be linked with a summer swoop for Argentinian international following comments made by his father-in-law Diego Maradona, but the 23-year-old is adamant an imminent return to Spain is not on the cards. Aguero said: "Maradona has said that the ideal club for me is Real Madrid and I'm not going to tell him 'Hey, don't say that'. He says what he wants and he has always been like that. "But I have never said that I want to play for Real Madrid, and I don't want to play for them today. I'm happy at Manchester City. "I thought when I came here I was going to need some time to adapt, but I started to score from the beginning. "I have to be honest, I never thought that I was going to score so many goals in my first season here."
