Barry's spirit pledge

Gareth Barry says the jealousy surrounding Manchester City is spurring on the squad to success this season and improving team spirit.
The England star accepts that Sheikh Mansour's takeover and the high-profile signings has led to many people disliking City, but he feels it could work in their favour.
The players have bonded quickly and Barry admits the manager has talked about that mentality and helping it make the squad 'stronger'.
The midfielder revealed: "The people outside of the club may look on us in a different way but it's something the players, including myself, can deal with. It's important we don't let it affect us.
"The whole club expected it. The manager has made the point to us. We've tried to use it to help us, to bring us together and to work harder on the pitch."
