Brazilian hitman bid back on

Manchester City are set to mount another bid to land Brazilian striker Adriano from Inter Milan in January.

City have been keeping tabs on the 26-year-old since failing with a bid to land him in the summer and his situation at the Serie A club, after initially improving under Jose Mourinho, has now taken a turn for the worse.

Adriano fell foul of Mourinho's disciplinary policy last week, losing his place in the team for Inter's last two Serie A games.

The player came late for a training session last week after he spent a long night out in the discos of Milan, and has been punished for his conduct. Reports in Italy now claim the Brazilian has also been dropped for this week's Champions League game with the Cypriots Anothosis Famagusta.
