Joe Hart claims Manchester City are 'excited' and ready' to fight for the Premier League title following Sunday's 2-0 win at Wolves.

The City and England international goalkeeper was delighted after Roberto Mancini's side moved to within three points of league leaders Manchester United on Sunday after their win at Molineux followed on from the Red Devils' surprise 4-4 draw against Everton at Old Trafford. City were eight points off their rivals a fortnight ago, but could jump back to the top of the table on goal difference next Monday if they can defeat United in a monumental derby encounter at the Etihad Stadium. And, while Mancini has continued to try and keep the pressure off his players by insisting United are still favourites, Hart claims they are now relishing the chance to go on and win the championship. "We've always been focused on finishing the season well and we have given ourselves a really good chance here," Hart said. "Our title chances are certainly a lot better than they were at the start of the day. "We are excited, we feel ready, we are firing goals in. We are looking forward to it. There are only a few games now. We've been putting this one off for a long time and people have been talking about it. But now it's the next game and the one we are excited about."
