City midfielder in Inter link
Manchester City midfielder Nigel de Jong could be heading for the exit door with Italian giants Inter Milan leading the chase for him.
Reports are emerging from Italy suggesting that the San Siro is a likely destination for the Dutch international who started just 11 Premier League games for City last season on their way to the title. De Jong's future at Etihad Stadium has been the source of speculation for some time and a switch to the Serie A side could suit all parties. City are believed to have paid around £18m to sign him from Hamburg back in 2009, but it's doubtful that the champions would receive anywhere near that figure for the 27-year-old if he is sold this summer. Corriere dello Sport are claiming that Inter have entered into negotiations with City for a fee in the region £6-8m, while the report indicates that his Holland team-mate Wesley Sneijder is doing his best to convince de Jong to join him at the Italian club.
