Manchester City striker Robinho could miss the club's Christmas games after his ankle injury flared up again.
The Brazilian was forced to come off at half-time in City's 3-1 Uefa Cup defeat against Racing Santander on Thursday and boss Mark Hughes has admitted he is a real doubt for Sunday's clash against West Bromwich Albion.
"Robinho was not able to continue so he is a big doubt for the weekend," said Hughes after the game.
Robinho has been carrying the injury in the past few weeks and was not initially expected to feature against the Spanish side, but Hughes decided he needed games.
However, the gamble backfired and now the record signing could miss the busy festive period.
"In the last three games he has been struggling with an injury and that was a concern to him here," Hughes added.
