City star's plea to new Belgian target
Skipper Vincent Kompany has told Axel Witsel to listen to Manchester City before deciding on whether to join AC Milan or Real Madrid.
The Benfica star has been linked with a £25 million move to Real Madrid following an incredible first season in Portugal after his £7million switch from Standard Liege last summer.
Witsel was one of Benfica's star performers as they eliminated Manchester United on their way to the Champions League quarter-finals.
AC Milan and United themselves have been linked to the Belgian midfield dynamo but his international colleague Kompany has urged him to listen to what Robero Mancini has to say when he returns from holiday.
According to a report in Portuguese newspaper O Jogo, Kompany is keen for City to sign Witsel and Mancini is on the lookout for a box-to-box midfielder this summer.
