Manchester City are ready to sell Carlos Tevez to Real Madrid for £25million and will use the money to bid for Robin van Persie.

Tevez seemed set to stay at the Etihad Stadium after he kissed and made up with boss Roberto Mancini towards the end of last season but now reports claim he could be on the move. The forward still has two years to run on his current deal but the player would be keen on a move to Real and Mancini would be happy to sell if it would give him more cash to land Gunners star van Persie. It looks as though Mancini will have to wheel and deal a little bit this summer and getting Tevez's £198,000 a week off the wage bill would also give him more scope to land the Dutchman. Despite Arsene Wenger's claims this week that van Persie will stay at the Emirates Stadium it is thought a move could happen this summer with City now in the box seat after Juventus pulled out of the running. With Holland out of Euro 2012 Arsenal are keen to sort van Persie's future and they are also bracing themselves for a bid from City, who will also open talks with Real over Tevez.
