City urged to drop striker's price
Manchester City are believed to have been told to drop the asking price for Emmanuel Adebayor by Real Madrid who are keen to sign him.
The striker enjoyed a successful spell at the Bernabeu during a recent loan stint in which he scored five times for the club and Real boss Jose Mourinho is interested in making his stay permanent.
However, the Spanish giants are not prepared to meet City's valuation of the player which currently stands at £12.5m, with Mourinho only prepared to pay around £8m for the Togo star's services.
Real's hopes of landing Abebayor are further complicated by a rival interest in the former Arsenal striker by AC Milan, who may be willing to give him a fresh challenge in Italy.
