Hughes on trio recovery

Manchester City, 10:38, October 13, 2009 ,

Robinho is expected to start the Carling Cup tie against Scunthorpe in a fortnight, along with Roque Santa Cruz and Michael Johnson.

The Brazilian has missed the last five games with an ankle problem picked up whilst on international duty, but is edging closer to a return to first-team action.
This weekend's game with Wigan will come to soon for the former Real Madrid man, but Robinho should be available for the visit of the Championship outfit.
Meanwhile, Mark Hughes says he is pleased with the progress being made by Santa Cruz and Johnson but admits they still need games and the duo will feature for the reserves next week.
The City boss told the Manchester Evening News: "They are both back in the fold, but they still need games and we are looking to get some more match play into them, if we can, in between being involved at first team level."
