Johnson interest hotting up
Manchester City,

Manchester City are believed to have received approaches from Tottenham and Liverpool for winger Adam Johnson.
City boss Roberto Mancini confirmed at the weekend that the 25-year-old had asked to move on after growing frustrated at a lack of first-team opportunity. Mancini has reluctantly agreed to grant the player his wish and left him out of his City squad for the opening game of the season against Southampton. Sunderland have already tabled a £10m bid for the England international, but it's thought the former Middlesbrough star is holding out for a switch to one of the Premier League's bigger clubs rather than a return to his native North-East. A move to either Spurs or Liverpool would certainly appeal to Johnson and a source close to City has confirmed speculation that both have made enquiries. The reigning champions are planning to replace Johnson with Swansea wing ace Scott Sinclair, who could be available for around £5m after turning down the chance to sign a new contract with the South Wales outfit.
