Keeper backs City
Manchester City goalkeeper Joe Hart believes that the Premier League champions are on par with their rivals Manchester United.
The 25-year-old has emerged as one of the top goalkeepers in European football over the past couple of seasons, especially with some big performances in the Champions League against Real Madrid and Borussia Dortmund.
United opened up a six-point lead in the title race with a 3-2 win at the Etihad two weeks ago, but Hart believes that his side are still capable of fighting back.
The stopper, who won the Golden Glove award in 2010-11, believes that their exit from the Champions League will help them to retain the league title.
"I think we are on an even par with United. They carry that tradition and that shirt, that red shirt that takes them to a different level sometimes, but I'm sure that over time the blue shirt will be the same," Hart said.
"I feel that when we play we are never going to lose. I feel that something will always happen.
"Maybe it has happened more often with United over the years and so people say it is 'classic United', but we are beginning to do that too."
