Mancini pleased with start
Manchester City boss Roberto Mancini has admitted he is happy with his side's start to the season going into the international break.
City sit at the top of the Premier League table after the first 11 games of the campaign, with five points between themselves and rivals Manchester United.
The Blues maintained their lead in the table with a 3-2 victory over Queens Park Rangers but they were pushed all the way by the London outfit at Loftus Road on Saturday.
Now players are heading off for international duty, Mancini has reflected on what has been a good start to the season and a busy week for the club, who also beat Villarreal in the Champions League.
He said: "When you play every three days, it is impossible, every game can be hard. QPR played very well but in the end it was important that we won.
"It was really important to win. In the last two weeks we have played six games, which is very, very hard, we have won always and it is very important to go into the international break with the five-point gap."
