Sergio Aguero is set to make his return to action from a knee injury in time for Manchester City's visit of Arsenal on Sunday.

The Argentina international has been ruled out since suffering a knee ligament injury in City's opening Premier League win against Southampton just over a month ago. Despite returning for Tuesday's Champions League defeat at Real Madrid, Aguero was an unused substitute at the Bernabeu. Therefore boss Roberto Mancini is poised to pitch him in against Arsene Wenger's Gunners as City look to continue their 100% home record. Italian striker Mario Balotelli could come into contention after Mancini confirmed there are no disciplinary issues concerning him, despite recent reports suggesting otherwise. Defender Joleon Lescott sat out the Real Madrid game but will look to link up with Vincent Kompany in the centre of defence ahead of Serbian youngster Matija Nastasic. However, midfielder Samir Nasri looks set to miss the Premier League clash against his former club with a hamstring injury and right-back Micah Richards remains sidelined because of an ankle injury.
