Move for Inter ace denied

Inter Milan defender Maicon's agent has dismissed suggestions Man City are lining up a summer swoop for the Brazilian ace.

City boss Roberto Mancini is a big fan of the attacking full-back and worked with him during his time in charge of the Serie A giants.

Reports of a summer move to Eastlands first appeared at the end of last year and there have been fresh suggestions recently that Mancini will make him a top target over the close season and the player wants showdown talks with Inter about his future.

However, the player's agent, Antonio Caliendo, has insisted that he is not aware of any interest in his client from City and once again said Maicon is happy at the San Siro.

Caliendo told calciomercato.it: "There is no meeting scheduled with Inter, these have already been held in the past and Maicon is very happy with Inter.

"I know nothing about this alleged new link with Manchester City, these are all rumours."
