Manchester City's highly-rated youngster John Guidetti is on the verge of signing a new longer-term deal with the North-West club.

The Sweden international is expected to rubber stamp an improved contract with City in the coming days before sealing a loan move away from the Premier League champions.
Guidetti only put pen to paper on a three-year deal last summer, but following a hugely productive spell in Holland last season where he scored 20 goals for Feyenoord in 20 games, the club have moved quickly to rip up the old agreement.
Feyenoord are keen to re-sign the striker again for this season, although the Dutch outfit are just one of a number of options open to him with clubs from England, France, Spain, Germany and Italy all interested as well.
North-East duo Newcastle and Sunderland could give Guidetti the chance to showcase his talents in the Premier League, and that may suit City if they can promise him regular first-team football.
His agent Per Jonsson claims the player himself wouldn't be against a return to Holland, but he knows the final decision which be made by Roberto Mancini and the club.
Jonsson told Voetbal International: "He liked his stay at Feyenoord and enjoyed putting in strong performances for them.
"Joining them again is definitely an option, but there are more possibilities, we are going to explore all options without rushing and we will surely come to a decision before the transfer window ends at the end of the month."
