Bologna are playing down speculation linking Gaston Ramirez with a summer move following rumoured interest from Manchester City.

The Uruguayan playmaker is also attracting attention from Inter Milan, Liverpool and Wolfsburg, but the Serie A club are adamant they have had no contact from any other team asking about his availability. Ramirez wouldn't come cheaply to any potential suitors with the Italian outfit holding out for a fee in excess of £20m for the highly-rated 21-year-old. City are known to have checked on Ramirez on several occasions and his agent Pablo Betancourt has already suggested that the Bologna star could be heading elsewhere before the start of the new season. However, until an official bid is lodged for his services, Bologna sporting director Roberto Zanzi is not willing to discuss the rumours in any great detail for a player who is contracted to them until 2016. He told www.tuttomercatoweb.com: "For the time being there is nothing new. "We cannot forget that the player has a contract with us and we have a lot of faith in him. "Whoever wants him, will have to talk to us first." Ramirez arrived in Italy from Penarol in 2010, and went on to score eight times last season in 33 league games as the Rossoblu finished ninth in Serie A.
