Robben swap deal mooted
Manchester City are rumoured to be lining up a swap deal involving Edin Dzeko to land Bayern Munich star Arjen Robben.
Bosnian striker Dzeko has been linked with a return to Germany for some time, with Bayern known to be leading the chase for the former Wolfsburg man, and it was initially thought that City were prepared to let him go in a straight cash transaction.
However, the German newspaper Bild are now suggesting that City boss Roberto Mancini has set his sights on the Dutch international in part exchange for the 26-year-old, who spent much of last season on the bench.
It's understood Bayern are giving the proposal some serious thought as Dzeko wouldn't come cheap on his own with City holding out for a fee in excess of £30m.
The Bundesliga giants could cope without Robben having recently snapped up fellow forward Xherdan Shaqiri as a potential replacement for the 28-year-old who was booed by his own fans after his crucial penalty miss against Chelsea in the Champions League final.
