Robinho drops City exit hint

Manchester City, 09:45, February 2, 2010 ,

Robinho has revealed he has no plans to return to Manchester City as he looks to turn his loan deal at Santos into a permanent switch.

The 26-year-old Brazilian star, who City paid a £32.5million record British transfer fee for to take from Spanish giants Real Madrid 18 months ago, failed to really settle at Eastlands and was allowed to return to his homeland on loan for the rest of this season.
However after being unveiled alongside the legendary Pele on Monday, Robinho admitted that he would be happy to stay at Santos for four years.
"My goal is to stay for a long time," he said.
"If the president wants to extend my contract to four years that would be great.
"I have my objective of going to the World Cup and being at my best at the World Cup.
"I believe this can be my World Cup. In the national team competition is very big, there are a lot of good players and that had me worried."
City appeared to pave the way clear for Robinho to depart permanently when they paid a 'substantial' undisclosed fee for Middlesbrough's 22-year-old winger Adam Johnson before Monday's deadline.
