Robinho tells Hughes to go for Kaka

Manchester City, 13:07, November 16, 2008

Robinho has urged manager Mark Hughes to break the bank to bring his Brazil team-mate Kaka to Manchester City from AC Milan.

Hughes is expected to be given the go ahead by his super-rich Abu Dhabi United Group superiors to spend big in January as he looks to bring the good times back to Eastlands.

And record signing Robinho says Kaka - who could cost in the region of £80million - would be top of his New Year wish-list of new recruits.

"Kaka's a great player and a great person," he told the Daily Star Sunday.

"He's so strong, intelligent and fast. Obviously I'm hoping that I can play with him here at City."

The 24-year-old - a £32.5million signing from Real Madrid on deadline-day - has also pedged his own future to the Blues, insisting he is very happy in England.

"I hope to play here for many years," Robinho added.

"I hope to make history at this club and become one of the great heroes at Manchester City. I'm in a very good phase and I hope this will continue."
