Samaras on brink of Glasgow switch
Georgios Samaras is "very close" to signing a permanent contract with SPL champions Celtic, according to his agent.
The Greece international joined the Scottish giants on a five-month loan spell last season and has made no secret of his desire to join Gordon Strachan's side permanently.
Asked about a deal, his agent Lee Anderson told the Glasgow Evening Times: "It's very close."
The news will come as a blow to the likes of Fenerbahce, Werder Bremen, Feyenoord, Lazio and Hull, who had been monitoring the 23-year-old's situation at Parkhead.
Samaras would be the first big signing of the summer for Celtic, with the £100,000 capture of Paddy McCourt from Derry City the only confirmed new arrival so far.
