Samba ace leaves Hughes raving
Mark Hughes is delighted with the way Brazilian star Robinho has settled in at Manchester City and hopes he can fire them to success.
The City boss snapped up the 24-year-old in a £32.5million British transfer record swoop from Real Madrid on the September 1 deadline day following an influx of cash after the Abu Dhabi Utd Group's takeover of the club.
Robinho has rewarded City's faith in splashing out so much money to sign him with two goals for the club, while he also scored two goals for Brazil in Sunday's 4-0 World Cup qualifying win against Venezuela.
Hughes is delighted with Robinho's start to life in the Premier League and hopes he can spur the rest of the squad on to possibly clinch a top-six finish whle they are also aiming for success in the Uefa Cup this season.
"He's playing well at the moment, and that was a fantastic strike," Hughes told the club's website.
"Two goals from that international is a great return for him and I'm sure that when he returns he'll be very buoyant, which he usually is anyway.
"He's very positive, it shows that he's happy with his football and in himself at the moment, which is a big part of what we have been able to give him.
"He's playing week in, week out in front of a crowd that absolutely adores him; you can see the joy in his play and I hope we reap the benefits."
Punters looking to use a £10 free bet could also back Robinho to continue his good run of form in front of goal by backing him to top the Premier League scoring charts in his first season.
