Shakhtar star in Manchester move claim
Manchester City have been linked to Shakhtar Donetsk's Brazilian Fernandinho and Racing Club's Ricardo Centurion - both midfielders.
The 27-year-old Brazil international, who scored in the 2-1 win over Chelsea last month, says he is leaving Shakhtar and moving to Manchester in January, but he has not said which club he will be joining.
In a stunning quote obtained by Italian website Calciomercato, Fernandinho said: "I am closing a deal with an English club. I will play in Manchester in January."
City have also become interested in Centurion, 19, who recently became the first player in his club's history to start 25 consecutive matches after making his debut.
Benfica and Napoli are keeping a close eye on the teenage talent who is the latest rising star to emerge in Argentina, but Sky Sport Italia suggest that the Premier League champions are also interested in bidding for the £3million-rated midfielder.
