Striker wants to quit Eastlands
Manchester City, 12:28, October 21, 2009 ,
Bulgarian striker Valeri Bojonov has revealed he is desperate to turn his loan move to Parma into a permanent deal next summer.
Bojonov ended an unhappy two-year spell at Eastlands at the start of the season when he joined Serie A side Parma and things have worked out well for him so far in Italy.
The 23-year-old has scored three goals so far, including the winner last weekend against Siena, to help his new side up to fifth place in the table and Bojinov confirmed he is keen to make the deal more permanent at the end of the season.
"Our team is very strong, as there is a good mix of youth and experience in the team," Bojinov stressed in an interview with Itasportpress.
"Firstly we need to ensure that we save ourselves from relegation though, then we'll see from there.
"My future? I want to stay here again next year, and everyone knows that. For now I am owned by Manchester City, but the Parma president [Tommaso Ghirardi] knows what I want to do."
