Manchester City's top two summer targets, Eden Hazard and Robin van Persie, have been named the best in their respective leagues.
Hazard last night scooped the Ligue 1's best player award for the second year in a row after scoring 17 goals and being credited with 15 assists for Lille this season.
The Belgian playmaker, also named the French League's top prospect in 2009 and 2010, is ready to leave France for England after Lille's final match of the season on Sunday.
Hazard remains coy about which club he will join with City thought to be strong favorites to tie up his signature ahead of Premier League runners-up United.
"It will be Manchester," he said at the ceremony.
"The decision is about to be made. You will soon know."
City could easily outbid United for the winger's signature, although the club are reluctant to be held to ransom by a player who has not yet achieved the kind of success as their current top earners Carlos Tevez and Yaya Toure.
Van Persie, who was named both PFA and Football Writers' Association Player of the Year, is understood to be more of a priority for City boss Roberto Mancini who has asked the club's deal-makers to conduct their business quickly this summer.
Van Persie's agent was spotted at the Etihad Stadium on Sunday leading to suggestions that the Arsenal striker is tempted by a switch to Manchester too.
