Carlos Tevez is ready to sign for Manchester City after casting Dimitar Berbatov as the scapegoat for his Man Utd exit.
Tevez looks set to cross the divide and sign for City next week after enrolling his daughter in a private Cheshire school, but blamed his sad farewell to Old Trafford on the signature of Berbatov. The Argentinian this week rejected a five-year contract with United, having won consecutive Premier League titles and reached two Champions League finals in two seasons at the club. Tevez says he was certain he would not stay with United after boss Sir Alex Ferguson signed former Tottenham star Berbatov last summer. "I am not sure where I am going to play, but I know for sure that it will not be at Manchester (United)," Tevez told TyC Sports. "I did not feel supported after they signed Berbatov, because I was the man for the job he was bought to do. "Ferguson told me not to be worried about Berbatov's arrival, but I did not like it when he started to put me on the bench often. I gave my life for the Manchester United shirt."
