Carlos Tevez believes Manchester City can still win the title after their 6-1 hammering of Norwich City on Saturday.
City moved two points behind rivals Manchester United in the title race after the impressive win, which also boosted their goal difference considerably. Tevez scored a hat-trick in the victory and is proving again what a top player he is after returning to the side following his earlier suspension and disciplinary problems which had looked like meaning he would never play for City again. When asked if City can still catch United and win the title, the Argentinian said: "Of course we can still win the title. "Obviously we have to put pressure on United. We just need to continue to play the way we are and we will arrive and the top. Mathematically it's not impossible." The striker also thanked his team-mates for the way they have welcomed him back into the fold after what had been five months out following his row with boss Roberto Mancini when he refused to warm-up against Bayern Munich in the Champions League. "I am very happy that I played very well today but the most important thing is that I want to say thank you to my colleagues for all the support they have given me since I arrived," he added on City TV. "It wasn't easy coming back to training and to play but they have given me a lot of support and the technical staff have been very good to me too. I really appreciate everyone's help."
