Trio made availble to Everton

Manchester City, 10:54, August 18, 2009 ,

Manchester City are set to make a third bid for Everton defender Joleon Lescott and are preparing a player-plus-cash deal this time.

City are unwilling to go above the £18million they offered the Toffees last time but are prepared to include a player in a bid to sweeten the deal for David Moyes' side.
City boss Mark Hughes is believed to be willing to offer Richard Dunne, Martin Petrov or Jo - who is currently on loan at Everton - as part exchange for Lescott who now looks destine to leave Goodison Park.
The England international was booed by some sections of the Everton crowd during their 6-1 mauling by Arsenal on Saturday and there are reports suggesting that the whole Lescott saga is unsettling the Toffees squad.
Hughes says he has sympathy with Moyes over the whole saga because no manager ever wants to lose his best player.
"This season we have been able to attract some top-level players and maybe he is fearful of the consequences as we chase a top-six place," said Hughes
"David has made it obvious he is unhappy with the situation and how it has developed, and I can understand his frustration because no manager wants to lose his best players.
"I can well understand that but I am quite comfortable with it in terms of how we try to conduct our business and how we try to make things happen."
