Manchester United goalkeeper Ben Amos looks set to be on his way to Championship side Hull City in a season-long loan deal.

Former United defender Steve Bruce has enquired about the availability of the Red Devils youngster after missing out on top target Brad Guzan who has opted to sign a new contract with Aston Villa instead. It's thought a deal for Amos is now close as Bruce looks to make his mark at the KC Stadium following his appointment this summer as Nick Barmby's successor. United rate the 22-year-old very highly so there is no chance of the move becoming permanent for the keeper who recently signed a contract with the Old Trafford club until 2015. However, Sir Alex Ferguson is keen to get him some game time to aid his development as his path to the United first-team is blocked by fellow shot-stoppers David de Gea and Anders Lingegaard. Amos, who made his Premier League debut against Stoke last season as well as appearing in the Carling Cup, has previously been out on loan at Peterborough United and Oldham.
