Baines coy on Reds move

Leighton Baines is aware of speculation linking him with Manchester United but says he is in the dark over a potential move.

The Everton full back is high on United's wanted list as Sir Alex Ferguson targets a new left-back this summer and reports suggest a bid for the player is imminent.
Baines says he has seen the constant rumours in the press linking him with a move to Old Trafford, but cannot say if United's interest is real as there has not been any contact.
The England international still has three years to run on his current deal at Goodison Park and it will take a bid in the region of £15million before Everton will even think about cashing in.
"I've been aware of what's been said in the press but I don't know much beyond that," said Baines. "It doesn't do any harm (to be linked) but it doesn't do any good either.
"It's just one of those things that tends to swing around this time of year. People put two and two together sometimes they get four and sometimes they get three or five.
"It gets other people more excited than those involved."
