Barca ace linked

Manchester United could turn their attentions to Barcelona midfielder Thiago Alcantara although they have not given up on Luka Modric.

Alcantara is finding first team opportunities hard to come by at Barcelona where he has found it hard to get past the likes of Xavi and Cesc Fabregas in the side. AC Milan are also interested and there are no shortage of takers for the 21-year-old who is rated at around the £21m mark. Meanwhile boss Sir Alex Ferguson is still interested in Modric and he is ready to try and take advantage of the confusion which is currently going on at White Hart Lane as they search for a new manager.
