Berba's United future uncertain
Manchester United, 11:29, February 8, 2012
Dimitar Berbatov admits he is not happy being out of the Manchester United side and does not know how long he will remain at the club.
The Bulgarian forward, who cost in excess of £30million when he moved from Tottenham in 2008, has fallen down the pecking order at Old Trafford this season.
The 31-year-old has started just 10 games, five of those in the league, despite ending the last campaign as Premier League joint-top scorer.
He was linked with a return to former club Bayer Leverkusen in the January transfer window as well as big-spending PSG, but neither move materialised.
Berbatov's contract expires at the end of the season, though there is an option of a one year extension, due to be activated in March.
However, when quizzed on his future Berbatov refused to commit to the Red Devils, admitting that he is concerned at the lack of first-team football.
"I am a Manchester United player, but I do not currently play in as many games as I want," he told sportal.bg.
"I'm not happy that I do not play. But I cannot blame anyone, especially in the media. When I have something to say, I go and talk face to face with the manager. He decides everything.
"There was nothing concrete as an offer to me. I read about such things, but they are more speculation.
"I do not know how long I will stay at Manchester United.
"To my knowledge, the clause to extend my contract for another year is automatically activated in March. I know nothing more."
