Campbell has big ideas

Manchester United, 09:40, November 27, 2008 ,

Fraizer Campbell has spoken of his desire to "make it big" with Manchester United when his season-long loan at Tottenham ends.

Sir Alex Ferguson suggested last week that he might even recall his young striker in January and the England Under-21 international could fill the void if, as speculation suggests, Carlos Tevez does not stay at Old Trafford.
Campbell, who will be handed his second European start for Spurs tonight against Dutch side NEC Nijmegen because of the absence of cup-tied Roman Pavlyuchenko and injured Luka Modric, said: "I'd love to be the first homegrown striker to make it big under Sir Alex at United. I see my long-term future as being at Old Trafford."
Harry Redknapp has insisted Campbell will stay at White Hart Lane beyond January, and said: "'I do want to keep him [until the end of the season]."
He added: "He is a terrific young talent. He is bright, scores goals, is full of energy and has a terrific attitude. But he belongs to Man United. I am sure they will want to keep him."
