Fergie ready to raid Dortmund

Manchester United have expressed an interest in signing Borussia Dortmund striker Robert Lewandowski, according to his agent.
The Red Devils have already been linked with a summer swoop for Japanese midfielder Shinji Kagawa, while defender Mats Hummels and Lewandowski are also being mentioned as potential targets after the trio helped Dortmund to the league and cup double in Germany this season. And, with United boss Sir Alex Ferguson looking to freshen up his squad at Old Trafford following a trophy-less campaign in which they crashed out of the Champions League in the group stages and lost the Premier League title to rivals Manchester City in stoppage time, it seems he will be looking to splash the cash. As far as Lewandowski is concerned, his agent Maik Barthel has revealed that the 23-year-old Polish hitman, who scored 22 goals this season, is not satisfied with a new deal offer from Dortmund and United are looking to snap him up. "I can confirm that the (new contract) offer of Borussia Dortmund is insufficient," Barthel told Bild. "I am also able to confirm an interest of Manchester United in the services of Robert Lewandowski."
