Fergie rests key trio
Manchester United,

Michael Carrick, Ryan Giggs and Paul Scholes are all out of Manchester United's travelling party for the Champions League tie at Cluj.
Giggs and Scholes both trained along with the remainder of the United squad at Carrington on Monday morning, so it is presumed that the veteran pair have been rested. Carrick did not train but there was no word from United about the reason for his absence, while Antonio Valencia (ankle) was also missing. United have received some welcome good news, however, after Jonny Evans was able to train and has been named in the squad. Evans needed to be helped off at the end of United's 3-2 Premier League defeat to Tottenham and whilst Sir Alex Ferguson claimed the Northern Ireland international was only suffering from a dead leg, with so many defenders already injured, there was a worry Evans was about to join the casualty list.
