Fergie to clear path for winger

Manchester United, 13:49, November 26, 2009 ,

FC Twente want United winger Zoran Tosic on loan for the rest of the season while Adem Ljajic is being lined up to replace him.

United agreed a double deal with Partizan Belgrade for the Serbian duo just prior to the January 2009 transfer window, but only Tosic came to Old Trafford with Ljajic loaned back to gain first-team experience.
The teenager has been a regular in the Partizan side this season and often been their best player in some of the bigger Europa League games.
But, with Partizan set to exit Europe at the first stage, and Tosic having failed to make the first-team breakthrough at Old Trafford, Sir Alex Ferguson is ready to sanction the exchange.
Tosic, who was not included in United's Champions League squad because of restrictions over non-EU players, is desperate for regular football to keep him in the Serbian World Cup squad.
Twente, who are top of the Dutch Eredivisie and managed by ex-Reds assistant Steve McClaren, are ready to swoop with a six-month loan for the 22-year-old, according to reports in Holland.
