Ferguson calms Jones fears
Ashley Young is available to face Everton but Sir Alex Ferguson is expected to rest some key players ahead of the Real Madrid clash.
Ferguson has calmed fears over Phil Jones' fitness and said that barring Darren Fletcher, who is out for the rest of the season after an operation to resolve his bowel condition, he has a fully-fit squad at his disposal for the visit of David Moyes' men.
Jones may be rested ahead of an expected midfield marking role against the Spanish champions on Wednesday night and Rio Ferdinand may also be wrapped in cotton wool for the trip to the Bernabeu.
Chris Smalling played 90 minutes for England in midweek and could be the one to miss out as Ferguson reunites Nemanja Vidic and Jonny Evans in preparation for aerial tussles with Marouane Fellaini.
Anderson is pushing for a start in midfield alongside Michael Carrick, who was also withdrawn from England duty with a slight knock.
Wayne Rooney is expected to start against his former club while Shinji Kagawa and Javier Hernandez are less certain to line-up at kick-off because of the air miles they have clocked up on international duty.
Young, who injured his knee against Liverpool almost a month ago, has strong claims to start against a side he has troubled in the past.
