Maximum points a must - Evra
Manchester United, 11:15, December 23, 2009 ,
Defender Patrice Evra is targeting maximum points from Manchester United's festive weekend fixtures against Hull and Wigan.
The injury hit Red Devils have slipped four points behind Chelsea at the top of the Premier League following defeats against Aston Villa and Fulham in their last three games. And, despite the majority of United's seven injured defenders struggling to be fit in time for Sunday's trip to Hull and the midweek clash with Wigan at Old Trafford, Evra is looking for six points.
"It's a crucial time," he said.
"We lost against Aston Villa and Fulham but the target is to win every game we can from now on.
"We always do well in this period and now, more than ever, we need victories."
The French left-back has been the only senior defender fit at United in recent games and he has been trying to organise a backline which has included midfielder Michael Carrick and youngster Ritchie De Laet.
"I try to give experience at the back and make sure we all speak to each other," he added.
"It's not easy but we have a strong squad, and you have to be able to play anywhere to win the title."
