New boy to get Fergie chance

Sir Alex Ferguson is reportedly set to hand new boy Alexander Buttner a start against Wigan on Saturday at the expense of Patrice Evra.
The Manchester United boss snapped up the young Dutch left-back from Vitesse Arnhem during the summer transfer window as he wanted to find a long-term replacement for Evra in his squad at Old Trafford. And, after being impressed with Buttner in training during the international break, there are claims that Ferguson will throw him into the first-team this weekend when Roberto Martinez's Latics arrive for the resumption of Premier League hostilities. Evra, who has been a first-team regular for the Red Devils for the past six years, struggled in the recent 3-2 win at Southampton on September 2 while Ferguson wants to give Buttner an opportunity to find his feet in the English game. Therefore a game against Wigan seems to be ideal timing as Ferguson will expect his side to pick up three points in their quest to win back the title from rivals Manchester City this season.
