PSV want big money for United target

Manchester United will have to fork out up to £25million if they want to try and sign midfielder Kevin Strootman from PSV Eindhoven.
The 22-year-old has been heavily linked with a move to Old Trafford following a successful season in his native Holland at PSV where he moved to from Utretch in summer 2011.
Strootman has even captained his country in a recent international against Andorra as he is being lined up to become Mark van Bommel's long-term successor in the national team's midfield engine room.
United boss Sir Alex Ferguson is believed to be looking at Strootman as an eventual replacement for 37-year-old veteran Paul Scholes at Old Trafford.
The problem the Red Devils face is the fact PSV will not be willing to allow one of their key performers leave without a fight and a huge price-tag has been placed on his head.
And, only last week, Strootman's agent Chiel Dekker dismissed any possibility of the player leaving PSV in January, although he would not rule out the possibility of a transfer happening next summer.
