Ramos confirms striker hopes
Manchester United, 10:50, August 17, 2008 ,
Spurs boss Juande Ramos insists he wants to keep Manchester United target Dimitar Berbatov because he is a "great player".
The £30m-rated Bulgaria international looks set to end up at Old Trafford at some point this summer but Ramos is not ready to throw in the towel just yet after selling Jermain Defoe and Robbie Keane already this year.
He said: "For the moment Berbatov is a Spurs player. We are happy with him, he is part of the Spurs squad and there is nothing to say about it, I don't have any comment to make on it."
When pressed on his hopes of prolonging Berbatov's White Hart Lane, the Spaniard added: "Of course, I love great players."
