Manchester United look set to beat arch rivals Manchester City to the signing of Nicolas Gaitan, according to the player's agent.

United and City are both keen on the Benfica midfielder who will be allowed to leave Portugal at the end of the season for the right price, and it would appear that the Reds are in the box seat to do a deal.
Sir Alex Ferguson has made the 24-year-old one of his top targets of the summer as he looks to bring in a midfielder schemer and the player's agent Jose Ibarren says his client would jump at the chance of a move to Old Trafford.
"Nicolas likes Manchester United a lot," Ibarren revealed. "He would like to play for Manchester United. If there is an offer for him, Nicolas would be happy to listen and negotiate."
United are thought to have already opened talks with Benfica officials with a view to hammering out a move ahead of the transfer window re-opening next month.
City are also keen despite having plenty of options already in midfield but it is thought the player would prefer Old Trafford as he thinks he would have a better chance of playing regular first-team football.
