Wayne Rooney has given all Manchester United fans a boost after he insisted he wants to see out his career at Old Trafford.

There have been suggestions of a falling out between the England striker and manager Sir Alex Ferguson, with some reports claiming that Rooney's future at the Red Devils was in jeopardy.
The signing of Robin van Persie has added fuel to the fire, particularly with the Dutchman scoring his first hat-trick at the club against Southampton last weekend as he bids to repeat his feat of finishing as the Premier League Top Goalscorer like last season.
However, Rooney, who is out of action for about four weeks with a severely gashed leg, insists that he would happily commit his future to the club as long as United still wanted him.
Rooney told Sky Sports: "When you first join a club, you want to do well and you want to be successful. I've managed to do that with Manchester United. Being here for eight years, it's like a family club, you get to see all the history and how big the club has grown over the years.
"You feel part of it; you are part of that history. I love playing for Manchester United and as long as I am wanted to play for this football club I will be here for a long time. It is a great football club and, let's be honest, where else can you go from this football club? It is probably the biggest team in the world."
Punters looking to use their free bet will no doubt remember that Rooney is under contract until June 2015, having famously signed a new long-term deal just days after requesting a transfer in 2010.
