Manchester United veteran Paul Scholes has agreed a new one-year-deal, while Ben Amos has inked a three-year contract extension.

Scholes stepped out of retirement in January and made an immediate impact on his return as a player at Old Trafford. United boss Sir Alex Ferguson has now handed the 37-year-old a new one-year-deal and Scholes is tied down to the club until the end of the 2012/2013 campaign. Meanwhile, promising young keeper Amos has agreed a new three-year-deal and is now under contract at Old Trafford until 2015. The 22-year-old, who has made seven appearances for United with three clean sheets, has enjoyed loan spells with Norwegian side Molde, Championship outfit Peterborough and League One side Oldham in the past.
